Roy's life and legacy…
The following information was provided by his wife Joyce (Harrison) Beals (Bremen Class of 1965)
Roy, originally from Midlothian, was born December 28, 1943. He passed-away at his home in Tinley Park on his birthday -- December 28, 2013.
Roy left Bremen prior to graduating to join the Navy. He served in Vietnam as a Radioman on a ship.
After he left the Navy, Roy worked as a truck driver hauling chemicals and gasoline for more than 30 years. He was married 47 years to Joyce Harrison, a 1965 Bremen graduate.
Joyce is the sister of James (Jim) Harrison. Jim was on our "lost classmates" list. Sadly, we lost Roy, but through Roy's sad loss we made contact with Jim and Joyce. Jim's wife is Cecelia Casale, who is a Bremen Class of 1964 graduate.
Roy was preceded in death by his son, David. Roy’s daughter Joanna, and her husband, live in Seattle, Washington. Roy was a member of the NRA, VFW, and the American Legion.
